My family has been sharing the oceans with Tucson through scuba diving since 1979. That is when my father decided diving in the desert was an incredible experience that had to be shared throughout our community. Today, hundreds of Tucson families trust 72 Aquatics with their scuba diving needs.

Being nominated for the Best Dive Shop in Tucson is gratifying. It also got me to stop and think about all of the small businesses that make up Tucson. We have a unique fondness for local business in Tucson and it is refreshing to see how many other small businesses were nominated by local supporters in their respective categories. By choosing to buy local, we are making a huge economic impact for Tucson that doesn't just affect that one business. Buying local means that these businesses need more supplies, more services, and more people and those business buy local. In fact, when we choose to buy local, more than 3 times more money remains circulating in the local economy as opposed to when we buy from a national chain.
Thank you Tucson for more than just nominating us as the Best Dive Shop. Thank you for supporting local business. As a small business owner, it is a pleasure to call Tucson home. It is because of you that we have been able to cultivate a community of ocean explorers and a create a lifestyle out of scuba diving in the desert.
