Basic Spearfishing Course

Discover the exciting world of underwater hunting with our SSI Basic Spearfishing course! This program is designed to equip you with the essential skills and knowledge needed to spearfish safely, responsibly, and in accordance with local laws.

Prerequisites:

SSI Freediver Pool or equivalent certification and own freediving equipment.

What you will learn:

✅ Spearfishing equipment and proper usage
✅ Fish species, behaviors, and ethical hunting practices
✅ Effective spearfishing techniques
✅ How to plan and execute a safe spearfishing trip

Course structure:

Academics Session – Learn the fundamentals of spearfishing, gear selection, and local regulations.

Pool Session – Practice breath-hold techniques, aiming, and shooting in a controlled environment.

To earn the full SSI Spearfishing Specialty certification, students must also complete two open water sessions (additional trip costs apply).
