Ben is a dive instructor with a goal of maintaining his average of over 100 dives per year. He completed his Assistant Instructor course and his Instructor Training course in 2023. After completing his Instructor Evaluation in the cold depths of Lake Pleasant in January of 2024, he spent ten weeks on Roatan teaching SCUBA, taking pictures, and living as a dive bum.

Classroom sessions with new divers, pool training to refine skills, dive trips to put skills into practice… Ben loves it all, and he loves to share that love and enthusiasm with anyone who wants to learn.

Ben is a software engineer with Master’s Degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics. He is also a martial arts instructor with a black belt in judo and a photographer with experience in portrait, sports, burlesque, and nature photography.
