St Thomas’ history is full of colonial and pirate culture which alone is worth a visit to the Island. Fort Christian, a
U.S. National Landmark, is the oldest standing structure in the Virgin Islands and home to the Virgin Islands
Museum. On nearby Government Hill, looming over Charlotte Amalie, stands Blackbeard’s Castle. The castle is now
closed after damage it sustained in Hurricane Irma in 2017 but is still a site to see. We will be staying in Wyndham’s
Margaritaville resort at Water Bay, an immaculately manicured property with several inviting pools. The trip
includes 5 days of 2 tank boat dives, with shore diving also available. We will have 2 free days before we leave the
Island as the St Thomas carnival will be in full swing and not to be missed. Underwater we will see turtles, eagle
rays, lobster, octopus, and many different reef fish. You’ll see tarpons hunting schools of fry or chicken bones.
